We have updated the description on the website to reflect your concerns, although I would point out that all suppliers support the spars at the front and back. So if enough force is applied over the spars in the middle you risk them bending. Thanks for your comment. Jethro

Thanks for your comment. We now make the whole trousers out of the same material as what we used to make the knee and seat reinforcement from. This makes the trousers more durable throughout, and improves breathability in the area of the seat and knees. Jethro
