I'm sorry that you are disappointed with our trowel. I want to reassure you that the product you bought is stainless steel. If you are referring to the two spots marks where the blade is attached to the tang this is heat discolouration caused when the tang is welded to the blade
This discolouration doesn't effect the quality of the trowel and your trowel is still stainless steel and won't rust
