If the mezzanine decks are in use, small cars will be sorted and loaded first to provide more walkway space between each car. On the main deck, vehicles in lane 1 at East Cowes whose occupants require lift access will be loaded early and parked near the lift. Of the vehicles assigned to C Deck, customers in lane 2 who paid slightly more for priority loading will be boarded before other traffic. These vehicles will be amongst the first to disembark. Freight traffic is loaded to ensure even weight distribution.
