Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you thought our postage was a rip off. As a supplier to industry we operate on very different parameters to Amazon, Ebay or other such large volume retail sites. We use carriers for delivery, primarily for reasons of reliability, traceability and efficiency of operations. We operate on a fixed cost with the carriers - that is they charge a flat rate no matter if we are sending a few fittings or several 6m pipe lengths. As an industrial supplier this generally suits our customers well. Although we are happy to supply small occasional orders to non-industrial customers, we are not geared up to be a "retail" type company, and so these are done using the same parameters as other customers. The notion of a "ripoff", implies that we are excessively profiteering, from the carriage costs we charge you, and I can assure you that this is not the case. In fact we make a small loss on each £9.99 carriage cost. We go to, I believe, great lengths (far more than most websites) to make our carriage costs clear before any order is placed, by displaying them at the top of every page on the site. I have also, as an exercise, gone on all of our competitors websites and found that if I placed a similar order to yours, that not only are our parts the cheapest, but our carriage costs are also either the same or lower.
