We appreciate riding in torrential rain isn’t always fun and certainly not expected in Italy in September. After our phone call, our local partner checked if there was an option to travel with the luggage van but unfortunately there wasn’t enough space for both of you and your bikes in addition to all the luggage for those on the self-guided tour. Our local partner phoned you to advise how to travel by train to the next hotel but you preferred to arrange a taxi through the hotel you were staying in instead. Taxi transfers aren’t part of our advertised self-guided packages (unlike guided tours) and whilst we, or our local partners, are always happy to assist in arranging them for customers when required, they would always be at the customers' own cost.
