Following rope light failure, XmasDirect determined the likely cause and snet me a link for purchase a replacement cable with rectifier.
Order was straight forward and delivery in a couple of days....

Although a failure is certainly not something we would expect from our lights, I'm afraid you were out of your warranty period by a few months so the only solution we could offer was to point you in the direction of a replacement power cable on our website.
