We apologise that the service you have experienced has not been up to our usual standard. Unfortunately, this has been due to staff absences caused by sickness, including Covid infections, across all offices which is beyond our control.

This does not explain the seven weeks in which nothing was done before the lady went sick. If there was a problem during this time, why wasn’t this explained? Al I got was continual reassurances that everything was going ahead as normal when that was far from being the case. I appreciate that Covid has caused problems for everyone, but that doesn’t mean that you should just fob people off with no explanations.
