Hi Timothy,

Thanks for leaving your feedback, and I'm sorry that you're unhappy with the way that your claim was processed.

I contacted Supercover, our policy administrator, straight after reading this. As you point out, the terms and conditions of your policy do not exclude phones bought from eBay, so this in itself won't have resulted in your claim being declined. We do however require that you provide sufficient evidence of ownership and that the phone is bought brand new, and I understand that this was a factor in the decision. Of course, if you feel that this outcome was unfair you've done the right thing by opening a complaint.

Regarding your payments, I understand that a full refund has now been processed for you, and that no additional premiums will be collected now that your policy has been cancelled.

Hi Joe, Thanks for getting back to me. I sent them a load of paperwork including evidence that the item was both new and sealed. And that I own it. I haven't received a reply to my complaint yet, but this seems like a good opportunity to resolve the matter...
