Because we use rich and pure ingredients, it often doesn't handle heat well, but that does not change the effectiveness of the products. The grittiness is due to the fatty solids of the Shea Butter. If you'd like to 'resurrect' the body butter, please pour it into a pot and melt it at an extremely low heat. Once completely melted, you can pour it back into the jar and stick it into the fridge overnight. Thank you again!
