I am sorry that what should have been a pleasant shopping experience seemed to go so wrong for you. The hoodies were on the website as a pre-order item as they had not yet arrived in stock. This could have caused the confusion if you did not notice the pre-order notification as it will still allow you to order the item. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have been explained to you properly by the operator, if it had you may have made a different decision. I will make sure that the customer care team are made aware of this. We are now in a position to despatch the hoodie so if you have not yet opened the T shirts you could send them back for an exchange. RNLI Shop

I am impressed at this response as it does actually make things that went wrong feel better as the customer experience seems to matter. I ordered on line so didn't understand or in fact see the pre order , but I am sure it didsay it was in stock. It wasn't the case that an operative didn't explain it properly. Sadly we have opened the t shirts as it was his birthday on the 16th. We specifically wanted something from the rnli as he is a big supporter of the charity, so I didn't want to get nothing .
