Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Car Hire Excess Insurance and our customer service following your receipt of a refund. Whilst it is in the Policy Wording and was on the website, we have made a couple of changes to make things even clearer. Apart from the US and Canada, CDW is usually included by the car hire company. Our cover of £7,000 protects the excess (the excess on CDW when CDW is included) on car hire agreements outside of the US and Canada. When hiring in the US and Canada you need to select the 'UK, Europe and Worldwide, including USA and Canada' option, after which you will be given the Option to take out our cover exclusively for the US and Canada which covers CDW up to USD $100,000 and covers the excess on the CDW up to £7,000. This cover is perfect to reduce the excessive cost that Car Hire companies charge. The only problem I encountered was the car hire company claimed the policy did not cover windscreen breakage.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review of our Car Hire Excess Insurance. Our Excess Reimbursement Section of our Policy Wording includes 'This section includes Damage to auto glass (and includes windscreens and windows), as well as Damage to the roof, tyres and under body of the Rental Vehicle'. We only specifically refer to these car parts as these specific parts of the car that are not covered by the car hire company's compulsory cover. In short, if keeping within the T&S of the policy, we cover ALL damage. It is interesting that a Car Hire company's employee is trying to evaluate and comment on our insurance when they are unlikely to be legally authorised or qualified to do so. Whilst we only post documents upon request, unfortunately this does happen on a rare occasion if Royal Mail decide incorrectly that the letter exceeds the normal postage thickness.
