We pack all deliveries of pots in boxes using an insert, to secure the plants in place whilst these are in transit, unless the number of plants sit in the box and 'lock' together. From our experience provided the boxes are then handled with care by our carriers the plants are delivered without any damage. Accordingly it is disappointing to note your plants were damaged in transit and I have relayed this information to our Carriers Parcel Force whose service standards are normally excellent. Should your plants as a result of the damage they suffered in transit not prosper please contact us and we will arrange to provide you with replacements free of charge. The following copy of an e-mail sent to you on the 11th May at 13.52 hours we feel sets out clearly our response to the points you have raised: ___________________________________________________________________ Thank you for your e-mail and we would again offer our apologies for the delay that has arisen in fulfilling your order. As I am sure you’re aware supplying any 'living' products has a range of complexities that can result in challenges with availability. This is indeed what happened with the plants you ordered. A batch of stock from our contract growers that was due to be released has had to be 'held' whilst the plants flush more. The growth of these plants has been held back by the weather conditions being about a month behind where we would normally expect them to be for this time of year. We have also endeavoured without success to source the plants from a number of growers. So although we can understand your annoyance, we have as you would expect been undertaking all the steps we can to supply you with the 20 remaining plants from your order. Given your instructions we will cancel supplying the 20 remaining plants and refund an amount of £150.98 for the cost of the plants. We will also refund a third of the cost of the RootGrow that amounts to £8.26. although assuming you’ve stored the RootGrow correctly this will keep and you could use this to plant the further plants when you purchase these from another supplier. In total we will refund £159.24. We note your request for compensation but having considered this must confirm we do not consider it appropriate on a number of grounds. ________________________________________________________________ We do hope you place further orders and should you require any further advice please contact us.
