With regards to the quality of the plants then I can assure you these had not as you suggested been 'forced on' although Photinia can get 'leggy' very quickly if it is not cut back periodically and at the same time shaped. However I would agree completely with your observations about the plants that should have identified through our quality control procedures before they were despatched. From my investigation, completed after the plants were returned I identified these had been selected from some stock that had been placed to one side for cutting back and shaping. Please accept my sincere apologies, we would of course have gladly sent you replacement plants had you not requested a refund that we processed immediately. In respect of the damage that occurred to the plants in transit then I would advise although such situations do not arise frequently appropriate feedback has been provided to our carriers. Please accept my sincere apologies and I do hope these advices go some way to restoring your confidence in our business. Thank you for your feedback. We fully accept the failure of any carriers we use in the delivery of our orders and would apologise for the difficulties you encountered. Should any of the plants suffer as a result of them being damaged in transit we will gladly replace them free of charge. We do not offer compensation as it is not appropriate to the dynamics of your purchase and as a business have a principle of taking a stance against anybody that is seeking to prosper through what we consider has become an epidemic in society. That said there is a place for compensation but only in the correct circumstances. In respect of the height of the plants we are unable to agree with your comments as we know the stock from which we selected the plants was to height.
