Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your issue with the direct debit payment. We ask that you enter into a Direct Debit agreement with the intention that your subscription will continue for a minimum period of 12 months, even if the frequency of payment is for a shorter period (for example, quarterly). Once a Direct Debit Agreement is completed and accepted, it remains active until cancelled. This means that we will continue to take the payment due until the Agreement is cancelled by you at your bank and/or with ourselves. However once a payment has been collected, no refund will be made and any cancellation will be from the next claim date of the payment. This does not affect your rights to cancel your Direct Debit in accordance with Direct Debit Guarantee. We can only apologise that the first issue was delivered too early. Unfortunately as a weekly magazine Garden News is sent a lot sooner than some other magazines - however we do offer the choice of selecting the issue start date in the checkout process and will ensure this is more obvious in the future to avoid any confusion.
