Good car park but tried to recharge me

Car park was easy to find and had good choices of spaces. Unfortunately when I went to leave it tried to charge me £60. I then had to call for assistance and search for my confirmation email.

I have spoken to Edinburgh Airport about this problem and they have apologised for any inconvenience and advised that the problem is down to the Number Plate recognition equipment not picking up your number plate. This apparently can be because of a mark on the number plate, a speck of dirt on the ANPR camera or even just the weather if it is raining, so it is not an uncommon occurrence. This can happen at the car park which ever company you use to make your booking and on your voucher you had the airports own confirmation number of your booking (starting ref_mmi) in case of any problem and the airport have advised that customers just need to press the button and speak to them to get the barrier opened.

I am sorry that this has happened to you and for any inconvenience, it is however outside the control of FHR.
