Thought that I was doing correct by purchasing the excess insurance cover in the UK only for it not to be accepted by the staff at GoldCar at Girona airport

It is not you fault but we were unable to use the insurance cover as Goldcar in Lisbon, Portugal would not accept the insurance cover, so we wasted money in buying the insurance covr
