Thank you for your feedback and I’m very sorry your New Year break did not meet expectations. The host's arrival was unfortunately delayed due to a train cancellation, which was outside of her control. We regret the inconvenience this caused. When she did arrive, she was then dealing with the issue relating to the arrival refreshments and some room changes, which may have given the impression that she was not as present as expected. However, she has advised that she was with the group for the duration of the time thereafter. That said, we are very sorry that you felt she did not do enough, this will be addressed and further training will be provided where necessary to ensure our hosts meet the high standards we expect. To clarify, arrival refreshments were tea, coffee, and mince pies, as per the description on our website, not a cream tea — apologies for any confusion. With regard to the incident reported after dinner on New Year’s Eve, we are aware that a situation occurred. However, neither of the individuals involved has contacted us directly. Should we be approached, we will review the matter and take any appropriate action as necessary.
