Excellent and reliable service from Philip Roberts.

A great service but lack of females

No pressure sales. Would recommend James Ball to other people if the price is comparable. However looking at the Vita website, women are under represented at the company and they need to address this.

It’s always great to hear that our customers have experienced a first class service from our advisers.

Thank you for your additional comments around the male/female balance of staff within the company.

Throughout our recruitment process over the years, the number of applications we’ve had from candidates has been significantly weighted towards one sex.

For example, in our last recruitment process where we employed one new Protection Adviser, we had approximately 60 applications; of which 7 were female. After screening and interviewing, we offered the position to a female candidate. However, she had already accepted a position elsewhere.

This balance has been quite typical across historic intakes – there is no rhyme or reason for it, it's just how it has panned out on the applicants we've had apply. We’re very much an equal opportunities employer, and are keen to redress the balance when suitable candidates apply.

Vita will be expanding over the coming 12-18 months, so I’m confident this will be addressed through this growth process.
