As we discussed there is so much more to going with the leap than just the 'backup', for example - we were responsible for the team dynamic you experienced, booking your flight and doing the due diligence on the camp and projects available to you (so you could confidently travel there knowing you were not going to be ripped of), no extra charges for doing the turtle project, having a translator in camp to ****** leapers to the doctors should that be needed, etc etc. Of course it is cheaper to book direct and in this instance it works out at £30 per week for the identical program you completed with us. The back-up however is vital to the safety in Madagascar - as you know it is a very remote destination. Emergency evacuations are very complicated out of there and if you had gone direct or with the other agent you would have to sort all medical issues and evacuations out yourself. Luckily you did not have to use the back-up available to you so on reflection it can be easily viewed as money wasted.I have spoken to Lu about the dive equipment and our equipment list still stands true. All items are required to complete the dive courses.
