We were met at the harbour to be taken to the hotel, that was mentioned in the package. But also they looked after us in the evening, taking us to places to eat etc, so nobody need feel left out. ...

These comments are really useful, thank you. We will try to negotiate a better bike hire price with our apartments next year, and certainly take your comments on the relay start time into consideration for future trips. We have already started looking into providing tow floats for anyone who wishes to use one for lake swims.
