Hi Dave Thanks for your feedback. Firstly, we were not made aware of the treatment plant smell, But we now believe this could be from the caravan park behind Bramley that has now been rectified. We can only apologize for this. Our maintenance team did call out to a couple of the minor issues, The sealant seem to have been dislodged on the bottom of the shower screen on the bath, which meant the water would escape when having a shower. The toilet flush button needed to be slightly adjusted too. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention & we looking forward to seeing you again in the future.

Hi Pat Thanks for your feedback, I will take a look at the size of crockery for the Dishwasher. Unfortunately we cant get stains of the silicone, so at the next available opportunity we looked to get this changed. Many Thanks.

Hi Jeremy Thanks for your feedback. Firstly I am glad you enjoyed the location & when we last spoke you were enjoying the cottage & the only issue you had when was the TV remote not working. This was resolved within 10minutes of your call to me. In terms of the pizza, this is not what was described to me. Your pizza was the best pizza you had for a while, but your 'margarita' pizza didn't have enough ham on it? but plenty of cheese, pineapple, & tomato... I did try to call you back to explain on a couple of occasions from my personal number to explain that the ham was usually on the base of the pizza, so it is unlikely the ham was missed off, however we would offer discount if you were to have another pizza as a gesture of Goodwill, but I just get a hold of you am afraid. The slab- Yes there will be a hot tub installed on the pad, but due to co-vid there has been a worldwide shortage of hot tubs causing delay. This was suppose to be installed In August, hence why we have had the slab installed in ready for our guests to hire & enjoy the hot tub at Grey Seal, but unfortunately this will now be installed in October. The hot tub was never offered to you at any point, however if you were looking to hire one we could of arranged this if you had informed during your stay. Coffee machine & pans- The pans are not brand new & some of them could do with changing from aesthetic point of view, but none of them are dangerous. Again, this was not reported at the time but this something we could of rectified straight away if you had made us aware. I cant really see from the picture, but The plug top was cracked at the top, we have now replaced this. Sofa- This is a new issue that we have not had reported so we will look into this at the next available opportunity. The cottage its self (Grey Seal) is over 100 years old & was a coastguard cottage. It is not built as most modern properties are built today, but to us & most of our guests this is the beauty & charm of this property, particularly when it is right on the beach looking onto Holy Island. We do have Modern properties situated on the Hill at Budle Bay that provide spacious bedrooms with en-suite if this is your criteria. I understand it can be frustrating to have these minor issues during your stay, We do have extremely high standards as a family business when it comes to the maintenance & cleanliness of the cottages, but on occasion out teams do miss things. In these situations we make sure they are rectified as swiftly as possible. It is just a shame on this occasion we were never given the opportunity to do so.
