I have spoken to the Support Engineer who took this call and he tells me that, although it wasn't immediately obvious what was causing the problem that you reported, he did provide a simple 'workaround' that you agreed to at the time.
If you would prefer we could escalate this further and I am more than happy to do so. In this case I will ask the Support Engineer who originally took the call to get back in touch, so that he can take away the data required to reproduce the issue outside your environment and therefore escalate to the Software Developers as appropriate.

Many thanks for this comment, I will ensure the tutor in question gets this sent on to him. We do know that the Essentials course can be a lot to take in over four days and in fact there are probably some lessons in the course that are not really "Essential" for new adopters of SolidWorks. But once again thanks for the comments, and I am sure you will see Richard again if you undertake further training in Kent.

Very good knowledge of solidworks. Very helpful with other aspects not included in the course.
