Although having paid for priority and being the first car on the top deck - at least 10 - 15 cars unloaded before us from the lower deck. Why pay extra for priority loading?
When one has to travel to Isle of Wight, it's either you or Wightlink, so have to check out who has the best deal. The fares go up when you think you can get away with it, no consideration is given...

Thank you for the feedback, we have operated demand based pricing for vehicles since 2007. The model has been adopted widely by the transport and holiday market throughout the world although Red Funnel's foot passengers fares remain at fixed prices.
In terms of seating capacity, we are making a big announcement on the 6 December so watch this space. With respect to car deck access, we operate in accordance with strict UK statutory requirements so although we acknowledge that some customers would like to remain in their vehicles it is just not possible I'm afraid.
Excellent service from staff feeling unwell while on board staff were very helpful...I would however like to see prices on coffee and cold drinks cheaper !!
I have used Red Funnel Ferry Services for many years and have always found their staff to be very courteous and friendly. The ferries are usually punctual.
