We do apologise for the problems with this sailing and the delay to your journey. The cancellation was due to a problem with a coolant pipe which took longer to rectify than originally anticipated and this meant the ship was cold when it did depart. As you will be aware, our terminal cafe wasn't open so we were unable to provide refreshments for waiting customers. We will contact you separately with a goodwill gesture.

Well nearly two weeks on and no good will gesture from Red Funnel, it does not surprise me at all !.
As far as the terminal cafe being closed, the cafe on board was fully functional upon boarding.
This is where you could have made your good will gesture to all those people who had waited for an hour and a half to board your freezing ferry and offered them a free drink.
But we all know that your business is about how much you can extract out of the customer , rather than customer service, this takes second place.
Top notch service from start to finish. Great easy booking, easy check in and boarding. Friendly staff from start to finish and on time departures and arrival.
We travelled on the Red Falcon and the service as always was really good. Food and drinks excellent and staff friendly and helpful.
