Because of destination Red Funnel is my preferred choice of ferry company, I like the offer codes in place through parts of the year this certainly encourages me to travel more often to the mainland.
As stated above the winter timetable, in my opinion sees over crowded boats whic could be a HSE issue in the event of a incident

Service not particularly busy. Everything ran smoothly without incident or delay.
I have a property on the island ,the ferry service is good but I find the cost of travel reasonably priced in the winter and very expensive at all other times also it is crazy it costs more money the...
I would use this service regularly if it was not so expensive! What a shame for tourism and helping the residents of the Island .i am sure your ferry would be full thus saving you money if you bought...

Just a couple of hours after this last post my parents arrived for a visit, saying they had travelled on the Osprey and had had a very juddery journey. Flat seas, so wondering now if it is to do with speed of the boat? Most uncomfortable for my father and i am beginning to think they will soon stop visiting the IW as the journey is too uncomfortable. Such a shame as they have no other complaints about Red Funnel.
