Hello and thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately we were not advised by UKMail of any issues with this delivery and this is the first we have heard of any problems. I have spoken to UKMail about this and apparently the depot has been unable to locate your package. I understand that Emily in the office has now spoken to you and resolved the matter.

As a result of this feedback, we have now put a system in place where the previous days deliveries will be double checked by our staff first thing in the morning, so that we can pick up, react to and resolve any similar issues as early as possible, rather than waiting for UK Mail to inform us (or not!). 

We have tried most of the national courier companies at one time or another and have found that on occasions, all of them have issues. In our experience, UKMail are up there with the best in terms of reliability.

I have tried, unsuccessfully, to contact you by email to ask which fittings were not received correct, as we have had no notification from you and if there is an issue, will gladly put it right. With regards to the different manufacturers, we stock items from several manufacturers as we find that no single one provides the range of fittings our customers require. All fittings and pipe are manufactured by ISO9001 plants (all of which we have visited) to British Standards etc. There is a certain (very limited) tolerance allowed during manufacture which can sometimes result in a fitting feeling slightly tight or slack, but this can be in fittings from the same manufacturer or a different one. Such tolerances do not affect the end product when it has been solvent welded together.

Hello. I am sorry that in this instance you were let down on delivery. I have looked into both orders and although both were dispatched on time from our warehouse, the couriers experienced problems on both days. The first order was sent out with UKMail and they advised us on the day of delivery that the van had not made it back to the depot in time the night before. Our staff then contacted your company to advise of the delay. The second order was sent by Tuffnells as it had full lengths of pipe. Unfortunately Tuffnells had a breakdown in your area and were only able to deliver the parts rather and then delivered the pipe on a pre-noon the following day. In both of these cases I have checked that your carriage costs have been refunded. I am unsure what else we could have done in both these situations as they we outwith our control. Where our staff were informed of a problem by the first carrier, they contacted you to advise the delay. We constantly review our carrier choice and have found that UKMail are the most reliable for parcels. Where full lengths of pipe are involved, the only nationwide carrier that will take these is Tuffnells (as others do not have trucks big enough) and is the company used by all pipe suppliers. Our statistics show that our next day delivery success rate is over 97%, but unfortunately in these instances the carriers let us down. I have contacted the Tuffnells carriers and requested that they give us more notice if they have a breakdown that affects one of our deliveries.
