We’re sorry to hear that the gold plating on your ring has started to wear away. Gold plating can naturally wear over time, and exposure to substances such as perfume, creams, hairspray, cleaning products, chlorine and other chemicals can cause the plating to fade or wear more quickly. We recommend removing plated jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or applying beauty products, and storing it carefully when not being worn.
