Unfortunately, Hodds does not pre-pay all of the relevant customs charges on behalf of their customers, and Irish customs charged more than 50 % of the original price of the item.

Hello there, Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback, I'm very sorry to hear that you were not aware of the current customs charges that are due to be paid on all our international parcels (bar deliveries to the USA), unfortunately as these charges are decided by the country for delivery and not something we are able to predict they are something that would need to be paid by the delivery recipient to receive the parcel.
