Hard course for mid handicappers

Easier course, less water hazards

Very upmarket. Faldo course is tough

A fair test. One hole (2nd) spoilt it for me. Too long a carry over water off the tee.

Very tough, long carries off the tee for an old man like me. Doable if you’re playing well - I wasn’t 😩

Useful warmup

Brilliant. Friendly, efficient, on time. What’s not to like?

A good solid 3 star hotel with nice staff and in the main a good selection of food offerings. Room functional in a nice location. Bathroom tired and in need of an upgrade.

Excellent greens and a golf shop . The chaps in the pro shop nice and engaging. Course itself was challenging enough in a good wind.

Change of name to Marnies for a start It was ok and did what is said but the room were small and breakfast wasn’t great But it’s not a 5 star hotel and the staff are lovely people

Good tough

Great condition

Tough course

Some love some hate lots and lots of green well above your head

Great clubhouse in the hotel. Excellent food choices on the play & stay with 3 course dinner and breakfast. Service was good although at breakfast they were a little overwhelmed by a large group of...

Pro Shop excellent as was the Starter. All went very smoothly and a very good Halfway house. 102 years of tradition made for a good vibe in the bar and restaurant. Golf course good considering the...

The club house was closed

No bar at the club house

The course is a challenge for higher handicapper golfers with a few large carrys over trouble

Course was in fabulous condition and the greens were amazing. Golf course lacked bins & good yardage markers to sides. Easy pool and sauna etc facilities to use. Reception area very busy but run...

Great condition, greens were amazing. Not enough yardage markers and no 100yard at all. Need more bins to keep litter down.

Great golf hotel, looked after us very well. My only suggestion would be that they put groups together when doing the rooming list as we were very spread out

Pro shop very helpful. Loved the golf course although bunkers not great. Would definitely return
