The point about the airport wait is a valid one. However, whilst some of the group might only have had hand luggage, others of the group had luggage to check in. Furthermore, we are responsible for getting you to your flight on time - and this does not preclude any problems with the traffic etc - and we always prefer to err on the side of caution in getting you to the airport in good time. On this particular day, though, there was one other factor: although the group only had a small journey to make, the bus driver had a long journey to make that evening to get back to base. Bus drivers are legally bound by driving times and we are very strict about them sticking to them. As it was, our driver did his best to drop us off as late as he could without going over his limit at the other end. Yes, Scopello is indeed a lovely place and we did try to give you as long as we could there on the last day.
