Thanks for taking the time to post a review and rating. I sympathise that overall you were disappointed with your diving holiday as we take pride on delivering great service and great diving. We always try to learn from constructive feedback and we have taken yours onboard. With regards to the price, it can be expensive to dive here compared to other Red Sea resorts as the operating costs are so much more, however our prices stack up to our local competitors when you compare boat diving prices, and in many instances we are cheaper. You chose to book and pay for your dives in resort, which meant you paid our top rate, as we have discounts available for online bookings, loyalty discounts and seasonal special offers to provide even better value. Also, you supplemented your boat dives with special trips, which makes me surprised to hear that you found the diving to be poor. Elphinstone and Sha’ab Samadai are not just guest favourites, but these famous reefs can be found and recommended in many books commenting on the best Red Sea dives. Of course if you were not lucky enough to see sharks at Elphinstone, hopefully you could still appreciate the quality of the soft and hard corals and abundant fish life on this reef and my guide tells me you were very impressed at the time with the cavern system in Samadai. I looked into your comments about the boats being overcrowded, as we operate well under the legal licenses on ‘comfort levels’, where every guest has room for their box, wetsuit, tank etc. I am surprised that you found our boats crowded, when you were one of 8 on your trip to Samadai on a boat licensed for 24, one of 12 on your trip to Elphinstone on a boat licensed for 24 and one of 23 on your local boat trip on Pegasus, which is a 4 deck, ex safari boat licensed for 35 guests. We find that striking a balance between getting good numbers on our boats without filling them allows us to remain competitively priced while delivering comfortable diving trips. We have been lucky to host many journalists over the years who have written many positive articles about the region. I sympathise that you have not been able to find such positives, and welcome you to contact us to discuss re-visiting perhaps and setting out your ambitions for the article, as we note that you didn’t mention this to any of our team at the time.
