Thank you for your kind review. The fabric will always be 4cm less than the given width since the brackets, mechanism and pin end all make up the full width when added. We only deduct 2mm from the width as a recess deduction to allow for the brackets. The remote controls are sold separately because some customers already have a remote from us from a previous order, or they may want to buy a multi-channel remote control if they're purchasing multiple electric blinds instead of just one.

Thank you for your review. Your order was for a standard roller blind in a blackout fabric. The measurements you provided are ‘recess fit’, which means that you have supplied us with the width of the recess, into which the blind will be fitted. Obviously, the fabric of the blind cannot be this width as once the other parts such as brackets, mechanism and pin end are added on, the blind would be wider than the recess so it wouldn’t fit into that gap. As such, the fabric will always be smaller than the given width simply because the brackets, mechanism and pin end need to be included and for the whole thing to fit within the recess. If you’re looking for absolute darkness, a sealed unit such as our Cassette system would be the product of choice, as there is a headbox, side channels and bottom bar.
