The blinds you ordered were faux wood blinds which means they are made from a plastic composite with a finish that looks like wood (much like faux leather or faux fur products are made to look like the real thing). Our real wood blinds are made from Basswood and are listed on the product category alongside the faux wood options. We encourage all of our customers to get in touch if they require further clarification on the difference between the two types of blind, or anything else listed on our website to avoid any potential confusion.
