The AdWords Essentials course has to cater for complete beginners who have never seen AdWords before, as well as those like yourself who have some past experience of the basics. The particular course that you attended did have a few complete novices so we had to spend a bit of time at the start making sure they were comfortable with the basic concepts of AdWords. Hopefully we struck a good pace between going slow enough for the beginners whilst also making sure those of you with a bit more experience still got plenty out of the day. Thanks for your feedback and sorry our MD wasn’t able to speak to you the other day when he rang to get more details on the points you’ve raised. We have experimented in the past with issuing materials for people to read in advance of the course. However, we've found a lot of people don't get round to doing it or they book quite close to the date of the course so don't have time to read materials beforehand. Trying to add in things from the SEO course (which is a full day in itself) would also probably make it a bit too much for one day. However, based on your feedback we will have another look and see if pre-course reading is something we could trial for this course. For pre-event info we send a booking confirmation email as soon as the course is booked and then we follow this up with more detailed info 24 hours before the course so as all the timings, directions to the venue, etc are fresh in people's minds before they come here. But taking your comments onboard perhaps we will look into sending an additional email in between these two. We get a wide range of delegates attending our courses, some of whom do indeed have their own established business, some of whom have just started a new business, and others who are coming for their own personal gain. The course is suitable for anybody looking to widen their knowledge of content marketing and blogging.
