Thanks. Let's see how Abbotts in Downham Market perform over the next few weeks. Currently they seem slow to answer simple emails. Property is now listed on webstes but brochure and listing is still not complete. They say it is due to the floorplan not being available yet - not sure why, as the agent took the measurement details etc when she visited. Photos are poor. Although we did not opt for additional cost photography, we assumed the pictures of the property would be of reasonable quality. Clearly Abbotts sales staff are not trained to take photos and can do nothing more than take a few quick snaps on their phones. with little consideration of what is in the images and what gives a true and fair representation of the property. I did think about contacting the branch manager at Downham but it seems unclear to me now who this actually is. During the initial valuation visit by Steve Bond and Ollie Martin it was clear that Ollie was the branch manager. However, since that initial visit, Steve Bond appears to signing off his emails as 'Branch Manager' though it is quite clear on the Abbotts website that he is just a sales negotiator. Clearly, in my mind and from our experience, he has a long way to go before reaching the expected quality standards of a branch manager. I am still hopeful that things will improve over coming weeks and will be happy to update you.
