The active components are elemental magnesium, malic acid, tartaric acid, adipic acid, dextrose, and sodium stearyl fumarate. This is a patented delivery system specifically designed to generate molecular hydrogen in nano-sized bubbles — the ingredients are present to enable that reaction, not for taste. If your comment refers to the dextrose listed, the amount used is extremely small, contributing less than half a calorie per serving.
