Overall a good tour, Garry had an excellent sense of humour but there are Tour timing issues that need to be reviewed. Local guides can improve the experience and would expect they guide not lecture...

Thank you for your constructive feedback and please rest assured your comments have all been taken on-board.
The decision to introduce compulsory tipping on group tours was to simplify the paying of gratuities following feedback from our customers who reported uncertainty about when, who and how much they should tip. Tipping is not always expected in China but it is in the tourism industry and please be assured tips are always fairly distributed amongst the staff involved in our group tours, including local guides, drivers, site guides and our National *******.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the tour and hope you have returned with lots of happy memories of some of China's most iconic sites.

I think it will change drastically in the next 5-10 years. to see how it really is and how people live then you should go sooner rather than later. although we hope to go again one day but in a different season. we went in the dry season so would love to go when everything is more green.
