We appreciate that when we arrange policies for customers we are essentially setting up a promise with the insurer, that in your hour of need the policy will pay out and provide the relevant support.

It’s worth noting that in 2015, 97.7% of all Protection Claims were paid, which is encouraging (2.3% declined due to non-disclosure or claiming for something that wasn’t covered by the policy). In terms of whether we have arranged suitable cover in the first instance, your dedicated Protection Adviser, Lee, will have justified all of his recommendations within the Suitability Report, which can be found within your Policy Documents pack – if you would like clarification around any recommendations or elements of your cover then please let us know. Also, apologies you felt your initial Adviser was pushy and didn’t get you a good deal – our Head of Protection (Philip Smith) has sent you a letter and an email inviting your feedback so that we can investigate the situation.
