Did not give a clear description of what an island hopping holiday would entail, so when we got the confirmed times of internal flights and ferries it seemed to be designed for their convenience...

So sorry some areas of the hotel were not as you had expected. There is no official classification system for hotels in Cape Verde and therefore our 4.5 grading of the Iberostar is based on standards within the islands and feedback from our guests.
The rainy season in Cape Verde does encourage numerous flies and the hotels do their best to deal with these but it is inevitable that some will find their way into the restaurant areas.
I hope you were able to enjoy your holiday overall, despite the issues raised.
