Most sailings and even in the bad weather they did a great job but if would have been excellent if there was more seating on the boat. An hour just standing when it is busy is not good
The staff at check in are very courteous, however there was not enough seating for our party of 5 to sit together both outwards and return which sort of spoilt the trip
Thank you for your feedback. The cost per passenger/vehicle kilometre with Red Funnel is generally competitive with many UK & European short-sea routes, some of which are subsidised.
Fares are cheaper if you can book ahead and avoid the popular sailing times but we appreciate this is not always possible.
We are currently putting the Red Falcon in for a refit, which will be completed by Easter 2014. This will increase the seating capacity as well as improve the facilities
