Hello and thanks for your comments. The pre-filter is designed to be used for 1 liter bottles, and to remove large debris only from the water so the UV light can penetrate the water. It is small and meant to be lightweight and as the Steripen can only treat 500ml per "dose", so for that purpose it is designed well. We are sorry you are not satisfied with this product. As for the Sandals, models do update from time to time, have you already worn the sandals outside? We do allow 30 days for a exchange providing the shoe have not been worn outside and are still in brand new condition.
