They claim detection from up to 40 NM under ideal conditions. I am trying to reconcile this with observed range of only 300 meters on the ground (with line of sight). Still I hope it is good enought...

The intercom cable is super, clear audio from the intercom and in-flight comms - just DO NOT plug the power cable intro the plane cigarette lighter power source! (The instructions state this)

Hard to programe , backward, should be able to plug usb into computer and programe ... trying this through Wi FI is crazy , otherwise an great bit of kit, but time will tell.
