You miss the point. The verification process is primarily for the benefit of Justairticket.com. The credit card company will not hold the customer responsible for transactions he/she did not authorize. No one is disputing the benefits of been careful and vigilant. However, one need to balance the benefits with the costs, inconvenience and risks to the customer, the credit card company and the vendor. There is a greater risk of misuse of personal and confidential information using your current verification process. a) Your employee listen in on the 3 way conference call with the credit card company and thus has your customer's confidential/security/password information to access his credit card account in future. b) The employee who verify scanned copies of the credit card (front and back) and driving licence has the information for identity theft. I am not suggesting they will but the risk is there. c) The confidential documents are sent over the email system and reside in the system. Your company's email system, my email system or the email server system may be hacked. Case in point (i) Democratic National Committee, (ii) Pentagon, (iii) Ashley Madison. The purpose of my comments is not to "bash" your company but to bring to your company the costs, inconvenience and risks to your company, the credit card company and your customers. I hope you will bring to your management all my comments so that they may reconsider the present verification process benefits, costs, inconvenience and risks and perhaps make improvements to the process. It must be carefully thought out..

May I add that the member of the staff was James Scott. He was clear and patient in performing his duties. However, checking the bank information with the card issuer with a third party call to the bank was unusual. This was obviously an attempt to prevent fraud.Going through the itinerary line by line is good as passengers sometimes tend not to see their own mistakes when entering information. The process took more time than usual internet reservation. The telephone conversations itself took about 20 minutes.
