Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Feefo and through our post-tour questionnaire. I got in touch over email a couple weeks ago, but haven't heard back. I am sorry to hear you thought the trip was overpriced. Our Boat & Bike tours tend to be more expensive than other cycling holidays as they include a number of additional services such as full-board meals, daily cabin cleaning, and daily briefings from the on-board tour guide. That being said, we understand that travel costs have risen in general, and we do our best to keep our prices as competitive as possible while maintaining a high level of service. You booked the self-guided version of this trip, which uses a comfort-class barge. For those looking for a higher level of accommodation and dining, superior barges are available on the guided version. I am glad that despite your disappointment with the food and accommodation, you found the route enjoyable and the navigation app helpful.

We're sorry that you felt we provided incorrect information about your tour. This tour is advertised on our website as self-guided cycling, with a tour guide on board to provide daily briefings and support rather than lead the rides. At the time of booking, we advised that there was one cabin remaining for sole occupancy for you to book. This was not to suggest the boat was full overall, but that availability for solo travellers was limited. Cabins used on a sole occupancy basis are sadly always more expensive per person than shared cabins, which explains the price difference you mentioned with fellow travellers in twin share cabins.
