For convenience I paid premium as I have been with AXA for some years. Didn't want the hassle of searching for a lower price

Unfortunately, there has been an increase in premiums across the insurance industry due to a number of reasons, including rising claims costs and high court awards. The majority of customers across all companies are seeing price increases as a result.
