Hi Nick I personally felt that we were not treated with any kind of personal touch. There were a few instances where nothing was happening and yet the purchaser said that her solicitors has been trying to touch base with Attwells but couldn’t. When I broached this subject each time I never got explanations as to why this was and felt that our concerns and frustrations were being ignored. We never had that situation where we felt important to you and yet we were paying you handsomely. We seemed to be a go-between a great deal of the time - which was not our role and for which we were not paid. The buyer’s solicitor said that on completion day they tried and tried to get through by email and phone but could not. The keys were not available until gone 2 and we therefore were charged two hours waiting time by our removal men when the purchaser implied that the funds had been made available much much earlier. In fact after calling and calling all morning I rang at 1 to be told my solicitor had gone to lunch. Imagine how that made us feel. But we are never going to move again so it’s all a memory now. But clients should be treated with respect and regarded as people who need help and guidance in such a stressful time. I am not blaming Attwells entirely as it seems the buyer’s solicitors were very slow at times - what does this say to us about a service that we pay large fees for but which does not leave us feeling satisfied or valued.
