Don't try to change the dates!!
Due to an emergency had to change the dates of my booking and choices were either pay £56 (roughly I think) to cancel or pay £187 (£47 more than original booking!!) to rebook before being refunded...

thanks for getting in touch to let us know about your experience with amending your booking. I am very sorry to see that you you needed to amend your booking due to an emergency and that your expectations during this process was not met.
From looking into the details, you had originally booked this online. During the initial booking process, there is a cancelation waiver you can purchase for £7.95. We offer this so our guests have the option to cancel up to 36 hours before the arrival date, with no charge other than the cost of the waiver itself and any credit card surcharges.
I do apologise if this was not overly clear for you at the time of booking.
With regards to the additional charge of £47 for the new booking, This was down to the date you amended to being a little more than your original date.
I do hope that despite having to amend your booking, you and your family had a wonderful time at the Alton Towers Resort.

Booking experience can be improved.
Site isn't particularly mobile friendly, also, drop down boxes would be much better than selecting boxes when customizing the booking. Also, I had to work quite hard to find the best deal available...

I think her name was claire, but she was very enthusiastic and helpful! Made the booking process very easy and was very informative in regards to the different packages and hotels available.
Alton Towers Holidays is the official short breaks provider for the Alton Towers Resort; packages include Theme Park tickets and an overnight stay in Resort Accommodation or family-friendly hotel nearby!
