The material used in the Essentials cases is Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) . It may not feel strong but please be assured that it has been extensively tested to ensure that it will withstand a normal amount of force and is a popular material used in the manufacture of luggage. This also means that it is light to carry and will not contribute too much to your luggage allowance. This particular suitcase comes with a padlock and key however some of our other hard sides come with an integrated combination lock. The Essentials range that you have purchased however offers excellent value for money if you are looking for a hard case with a combintion lock,you may find that they are more expensive.
