Excess amount not clear upfront
The excess on my cycle insurance (which I had assumed to be 0) wasn't made plain until after I had cofirmed the policy.
It's a very small policy so I found another supplier who provided the same...

Thank you for your feedback. We always raise the comments internally to see if there is anything we can improve upon. Currently we display the Excess for the policy in the following places:

We stagger the excess according to the value of your bike(s).
The following information may be of use for the complete Excess as detailed in our FAQ's
This depends on the type of claim. There is no excess for claims under Sections 1 (Personal Accident), 2 (Personal Liability) or 3 (Legal Expenses). In respect of any claim under Section 4 (Theft and Accidental Damage) the following excess will apply: for a bike with a declared value of less than £1,500 an excess of £75 will apply, for a bike with a declared value of £1,500 or more but less than £7,500 an excess of £100 will apply, and, for a bike with a declared value of between £7,500 and £15,000 an excess of £250 will apply. In the event that a claim involves more than one of your declared bikes, each bike will have a separate excess.For claims of more than £1,000 where we can offer repair or replacement ourselves through a preferred supplier we may with the policyholder's consent waive the excess and repair or replace the bike ourselves

My only issue would be is that you dont receive proof of insurance in the post only had the option of an e-mail.

useless!
useless insurance, you need to keep bicycle indoors otherwise they won't help. if i was to keep bike indoors at all times, i might as well not have it at all, and definitely won't need an insurance!

We appreciate your feedback. Cycling Insurance does have conditions and our policy does require your bike to not be left outside for more than 12 Hours at one time. We do allow 24Hrs at a Train Station or Permanent Place of Employment. In such instances we ask for the bike to be locked to an immovable object with an approved lock. Whilst we understand such conditions to be adopted by most insurer's, it is possible that they vary between others.
This information is present in both our FAQ section (Accessed from the footer of our website) or in page 5 of our Policy Wording.
