We do have to apologise for this error on our website. When I looked into it, I found it was human error. Someone had entered a number on a stock sheet for the wrong product. We were of course happy to issue a full refund to your card, as although a delivery was due, we could not guarantee a date, as deliveries have been badly affected by covid-19 and a massive increases in online orders that delivery companies had not anticipated.

Sorry to hear you have been waiting this long. Our carriers are struggling under unprecedented freight load at the moment so deliveries have been delayed. But I believe you have now received your order. The automated Feefo request for feedback is occassionally going out before goods arrive. Not ideal, though I was able to check for your delivery when I saw your feedback. Hopefully life will return to something like normal soon.

We are naturally sorry you were disappointed with our delivery service, but many of our small orders are up to 3.2m long and weight up to 30kgs. XDP are the only people we have found who will deliver anything that long to domestic customers and believe me, we have tried to find alternatives. A haulier, used to carrying pallets charge much more. XDP perform reasonably well most of the time, but during this lockdown, like all other carriers, they are swamped with orders. One carrier told us that they normally carry 400 deliveries a day and they are now having to cope with 4000. Quite a lot to deal with from a standing start. And yes, really, it is normal for suppliers to provide customers with direct contact with the carrier and a tracking number in order to ensure they are home to receive delivery at a convenient time. XDP normally txt or email you to let you know when to expect them.
